知识与能力:本部分的主要学习内容是日期的询问与表达;通过谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日,理解生日更多的含义。学习序数词的表示方法。
过程与方法 采用self-evaluation和Role—playing的学习策略,利用教学图片、实物(大挂历)或制作课件等来展开课堂教学、Pairwork和groupwork问答式的口语交际活动,进行“询问和谈论日期”的课堂教学和练习。
情感态度价值观:本单元的话题是谈论生日。学习内容贴近学生的生活。学生通过互相询问生日的日期,可以增进同学间的了解和友情并学会在英语交流中注意他人的情感。

1.In this part, the most important teaching point is how to express date in Englsih and the use of ordinal numbers.
2. To help the students grasp the way of put cardinal numbers into ordinal numbers , it’s better to teach them the pithy formula.

教材分析
本单元主要学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用when引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;本单元围绕“谈论生日”这一话题,设计了三个任务型活动:任务一是:数字游戏,学习序数词的使用;任务二是:建立班级生日册,学习日期的表示方法;任务三是:制作个人日历,巩固日期的表达和序数词的使用。通过这三个任务型的活动使学生掌握日期询问和回答。

1. Form the warm-up activity
Sing the song “Happy birthday” together.
(Play the flash of this song. )
Show the words of the song on the screen . And color the word birthday.

2. Revision :
T:When is your birthday?
Student A:My birthday is…
T:What about you,***?
Student B:My birthday is…
T:And what about you,***?

T:There are 12 months in a year.
Ss: They are January,February,March,April,
May,June,July,August,September,October,
November and December

3.Based on the students’ discussion, sum up as a pithy formula.
基数变序数,规则记心间,
1,23,全变,其余词尾加-th,细小变化要注意,八少t, 九去e, five, twelve两兄弟,f来把ve替;几十基数变序数,变y为i加eth;几十几变序数,几十不变只变几.
4. Play the recording of 2a.
5.Play the recording of 2b, lead the students to finish filling the chart.

T: Do you know when Alice’s birthday is? Now let’s listen and match the names,months and dates in 2c

Sing with the teacher. All the student can sing this song in Chinese. And they are required try to sing in English following the flash.
Listen and circle the numbers.
Listen and fill in the chart --- match the names with the dates.
Work in pairs and use the target language patterns to get the information about others’ birthday.

本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握日期的表达法,正确使用when引导的特殊疑问句对日期进行询问。在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成,学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词,对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛,教师要引导学生运用对比的方法,找出构成规律,总结特殊变化,对比强化记忆。
