本课教材为外研社《英语》(新标准)(三年级起点)六年级上册Module 4 Unit 1 Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.的教学内容。本单元的话题是谈论自己喜爱的中外节日。本单元的课文情境是Simon 告诉Daming 明天是美国国旗制定纪念日,这一天人们会挂国旗、唱歌。Daming请Simon再介绍一些美国的节日,Simon说他最喜欢的节日是感恩节,这一天人们会相互表达谢意,一家人享用感恩节大餐,然后一起看一场橄榄球比赛。课文充分展示了Daming对异国文化的好奇心以及求知欲望。通过学习使学生能够使用一般现在时来表达节日的习俗,同时,巩固人称代词和物主代词及行为动词的一般现在时的用法。本单元共1课时完成。

学情分析
对于本模块的学习重点是学会运用Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.以及We always have a special meal. We say “thank you” for…等语句。尽管这是学生初次对节日的习俗深入展开讨论,但是,在之前的学习中学生充分理解和使用了一般现在时的句型,同时在四年级教材中也对中国的春节习俗进行了简单的描述,所以学生理解起来并不难,主要是通过这种句型来接触和学习一些新词汇并学会运用,同时,通过学习帮助学生复习和归纳be动词“is/are”及行为动词一般现在时的用法,同时,鼓励学生对人称代词及物主代词用法进行归纳。相信学生能够通过读和说等活动很好地完成本课的学习任务。从而,能够在本模块学习结束后用英语详细介绍圣诞节的习俗。

T: Boys and girls, look at this picture. What festival is it?

T: Can you talk about the Spring Festival / Halloween / Christmas Day…?
What do people do at/on…?
和学生一起简单的谈论自己最喜欢的节日。
3. Lead-in
(1) What about Simon?(出示书中活动1的图片,一起看看Simon 和Daming 正在谈论什么节日。)
(2) Watch the video.

(3) Teach the words “Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Day)”.
(4) 问学生:Simon会对小狗说“thank you”吗?得出结论:小狗不仅给Simon 带去欢乐,还能帮助他做许多事情,所以Simon 肯定会对它表示感谢。
(5) Listen and repeat.
(6) Read Part 1 together.

注意:主语非单三时,动词要使用原形。另外,请注意人称代词主格we和形容词性物主代词our的用法。
主格作句子的主语,形容词性物主代词后面要接名词。
