本课教材为外研社《英语》(新标准)(三年级起点)六年级上册Module 4 Unit 2 Our favourite festival is the Spring Festival.本单元的话题是谈论自己喜爱的中外节日。课文情境是中国的小朋友向大家展示自己最喜爱的中国传统节日,课文充分展示了中国的传统节日的活动,能充分增强祖国意识。学生通过学习进而能够运用所学语言简单介绍自己喜欢的中国传统节日。本单元共1课时完成。

学情分析
本课的学习重点是学会运用Our favourite festival is the Spring Festival.这一语言结构,运用一般现在时来描述节日活动。难点仍是一般现在时的单三形式,以及人称代词的用法。因为在U1中学生已经接触过这些语言,再加上本课话题谈论中国传统节日,学生们也会感兴趣,相信学生能够在老师的帮助下自主合作很好地完成本课的学习任务。

⑴ 全体学生能够初步运用语句: “Our favourite festival is the Spring Festival . ”谈论一个节日。
⑵ 全体学生能够理解词汇:moon cake, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, race, lantern, the Lantern Festival, hang. 部分学生能够运用词汇:moon cake, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, race, lantern, the Lantern Festival, hang, the Spring Festival.
⑶ 复习一般现在时和人称代词的用法,复习介词的正确使用。
⑷ 能感知单词重音和句子重读。

3. Have a free talk.
(1) Show two pictures. T: Look Simon is telling something about American festivals. Let’s look !

What do people do on Thanksgiving Day?
(2) Look at the pictures. And talk about the two festivals.
4. Lead-in: Watch the video and learn to say the dialogue in Activity 1.
T: In Unit 1, Simon told Daming something about American festivals. Now Daming is telling Simon something about Chinese festivals.

a. Watch the video and then answer the question.

They are talking about “the Mid-Autumn Festival”
and “the Dragon Boat Festival”.

3. Check the answers and learn the new words and sentences. (一边订正一边板书)
We all go to see the dragon boat race. We eat zongzi.
Learn: race
My mother makes moon cakes. My father sings songs about the moon. We eat moon cakes.
Learn: moon cake
We have a special family dinner. And we eat dumplings.
People hang lanterns and do dragon dances. They eat yuanxiao.
Learn: hang
Sum up the function and the grammar of the sentences.
(1) 描述节日习俗我们要使用一般现在时:
We all go to see the dragon boat race.
My mother makes moon cakes.
注意:一般情况下,动词要使用原形。主语是单三时,动词后面要加“s”,以及相应的变化。
一般情况下直接加“s”。
以s, x, sh, ch, o 结尾的加“es”。
c. 以辅音加y结尾的变“y”为“i”,再加“es”。如: carry变carries。
(2) Practise.

b) My father and I (love) this festival, too.
(3) 介词at 和on在节日前的不同用法。

c. 动词be与not相结合时,如isn’t, aren’t要重读。
