一 课前准备:
1) 初读单词,了解课文。
2)课前利用各种途径查阅书籍或上网查询,了解关于联合国的有关资料。
二、教学目标
1.知识与能力:学习并掌握“Do you want to visit the UN building?”、和“I want to…” 的表达方法;
2.过程与方法:能够听懂、会读课文;
3.情感与价值观:通过学习能够对联合国有一定的了解和认识,体会世界和平的重要性。
三、教材分析
《Do you want to visit the UN building?》选自新标准《英语》六年级上册,是学习以Do开头的一般疑问的复习模块。在这篇英语对话中,Daming和Simon用简洁的英语对话来描述联合国的简单情况,在英语短语对话的基础上,合理运用多媒体课件,以及对联合国有关的视频的采用,使英语教学成为一种艺术文化享受。
教学重点和难点:
复习want to的学习运用,进一步学习一般现在时的语法,扩展用英文讲述将来可能要做的事情。
四、教学过程:
一、Warm up and lead in
Greetings
引出句型:Do you want to visit…?
Do you want to visit ……..(出示各个地方的图片)
Do you want to visit America?
SS: Yes, we do.
Do you want to visit …?(出示美国的一些图片)
T: Do you want to visit these places?
Ss: Yes, we do.
Let’s make a tourist group. (choose four guides to ask the students and make four tourist groups, then the teacher takes a photo for them)
二、Learn the text
(一)Learn the new words and phrases
(以讨论的形式引出并学习新知)
1. America is a big country.
2. lead in: the UN
T: Yes. There are lots of things to see in America. Today Daming is very happy. He is going to visit the UN building.
3. activity: Guess what is the UN?
4.Let the students look at the pictures and ask the students: What do you know about the UN?(充分利用学生已有的知识引出新知)
5.Practice the new words and phrases in different ways
1) the UN building
2) from all around the world
3) They want to bring peace to the world
(二)learn the text
