The most famous of the many animals that disappeared on the earth are dinosaurs. They lived on the earth tens of millions of years ago, long before humans came into being and died out about 65million years ago. Scientists have found the eggs of twenty－five species of dinosaurs in China. As for the reason for the disappearance of dinosaurs, some scientists think they had died out because a huge rock from space hit the earth and put too much dust into the air, while others think it is because the earth got too hot for the dinosaurs to live on any more. However, nobody knows for sure why and how dinosaurs died out. More recently, some 844 animals and plants have died out in the last 500 years, according to a UN report.
