Step 1 Warming up
Sing a song together : I have a dream.
Step 2 Leading in
Show the learning goals.
T: Hello everyone! Nice to see you again! Are you happy now?
S: Yes!
T: I’m glad to hear that. Now let’s look at our learning goals.
2) T:Now, I want to ask you a question: Who are good at English in our class ?
S1: Amy!

T: So many students are good at English .But why are they good at English?
S1: Because they study hard .
T: Good! So if you study hard, you’ll be good at English, too.
But as the saying goes,” All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy.” So , after studying , we can have fun! I have a good idea!Why don’t you go to the party?Why ? because if you go to the party, you’ll have a good time! Today we are going to learn Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!
(Write “Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time! ”on the blackboard.)

Step 3 Drills
1. Show some pictures to present new structure:
Ask several students:
If it is sunny next Sunday, I’ll go to the park.
What will you do if it is sunny next Sunday?
2.have the students work in pairs to practice .

If it rains next Sunday, I’ll do the housework.
What will you do if it rains next Sunday?
4.have students work in groups of six to have an interview .

Step 4 Listening (1a; 1b)
(1) Show the pictures of Section A 1a, ask the students to predict the consequences. Talk about the pictures
Then have students look at 1a.Ask them to match the statements and responses.
(2) 1b: Listen. Were your answers to activity 1a correct?
Play the tape and then check the answers.
(利用听力练习继续巩固句型。)
Step 5 Guessing game
Show some pictures hidden , then have some students guess :What will they do if they are happy ?
Ask a student to be my assistant.

Step 6 Grammar
T: Now look at the three sentences on the board. Can you find out the rules in them?
S1: They all have “if”, and “will”.
T: Yes. They are all conditional adverbial clauses,it consists of two parts.In “if” clause we should use the Simple Present Tense, and we should use the Simple Future Tense in main clause.

What did you learned Today ? we learned how to talk about consequences. We learned the sentence: If you...,you’ll....Do you like to go to a party? Do you like to have a party in your house? If nobody comes to your party, you’ll be sorry, Right?
OK. Today’s homework:
Please make five sentences with “If ... , ...will ...”.
Let’s see who is the most creative one.
Have some students to write their sentences on the blackboard first , then check the answers.

教材分析及课程设计思路
本课是“新目标”英语八年级下Unit5 If you go to the party , you’ll have a good time!的第一课时,本课的话题是关于做决定和对某项决定的后果做出推断。此类话题与学生的日常生活密切相关,所以对提高学生的学习兴趣和提高他们的口语水平很有帮助。本课帮助学生复习了用现在进行时表示计划或将来,并引入if引导的“条件状语从句”。这是本课的重难点。活动1b给学生提供了听力练习,这对学生来说是提高听力水平的好机会。
本节课的每一个教学环节的设计,活动和练习都是围绕着本节课的中心内容:if引导的条件状语从句进行的,并且力求体现《新课标》的精神。在整个教学过程当中,我认为导入环节设计的比较巧妙,我从学生的实际出发,从问“Who are good at English in our class?”开始,引入:If you study hard, you’ll get good grades.然后层层深入,引入若干条件状语从句,既充分调动了学生的兴趣,又使学生对新句型有了直观的感性认识;进而引导学生进行规律总结,从而升华到理性认识。还有Drills和Pairwork部分,我设计了许多和同学们息息相关的情境让其练习,学生的学习兴致很高。过程中始终发挥学生的主动性,注意培养他们的探究精神和合作意识,并且体验到了学习英语的快乐。
