【教材分析】
本课是外研版新标准小学英语（三年级起点）上册 Module 5 Unit 1 《How many ? 》本课主要让学生掌握八个数词one，two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight以及用句型：How many ？来询问数量。
【教学目标】
一．知识目标
（1） 能听、说、认读 one to eight 这八个数词。
（2） 能听懂并初步会用“How many ” 来询问数量及回答。
二．能力目标
在日常生活中能熟练运用“How many ” 来询问数量，并回答。
三．情感目标
通过歌曲，游戏等形式来调动学生的学习积极性，使其大胆发言，积极参与课堂活动中，培养学生学习英语的兴趣。
【学习策略】
学习将实际生活中的物品数量与英语数词相联系。
【教学用具】
生日蛋糕，数字卡片，录音机
【重点难点】
重点：学生对数词one to eight 的熟练掌握。
难点：1.单词three，five，seven 的发音
2.学生能够听懂，会说，会运用句型How many…?进行询问及回答。
【教学过程】
Step 1 : Greetings & lead-in
Activity 1: Greetings:
T: Good afternoon，boys and girls , Nice to meet you.
S: Nice to meet you,too.
T: Are you ready ?
S: Yes.
【设计意图】通过简单的问候，消除孩子们的紧张情绪，引导孩子们开口说英语，拉近师生距离，从而进入学习状态。
Activity 2：
T:Today is my son’s birthday ,let’s sing a song for him.Ok?
S:Ok!
T： let’s see the birthday cake, How many? let’s count ：One,two,three，Yes，three， So today we’ll learn Module 5 Unit 1 How many ?（板书课题并领读）
【设计意图】通过唱歌，并引导学生数一数蜡烛的数量，导入本课的学习，既激发学习兴趣，又初步感知数词,
Step 2 Presentation and practise
New words:
利用卡片和不同形式的示范引导，逐步呈现学习数词，
T：How many？ one , two, three, four, five , six , seven , eight，师先范读后，然后学生跟读、小组读，挑生读（多种形式读）。
【设计意图】通过五颜六色的单词卡片和黑板上的树形，形成了一棵漂亮的苹果树，既激发兴趣，吸引学生的注意力，又学习并操练了数词。
b.Chant: 学完one-four时，运用chant来巩固单词。
How many ,How many, one,one,one.
How many ,How many，two，two，two.
How many ,How many, three,three,three.
How many ,How many，four,four,four.
当one-eight学完时，再次运用chant来巩固单词。
【设计意图】通过chant，配上形象的动作，让孩子们在快乐的氛围中复习巩固单词和句型。
