教材分析：
1、本课时选自外研社上册Module 4 Unit 1 Chinese people invented paper.
2、本课时主题是“Chinese people invented paper.”会询问且会回答。
3、本单元运用了”… people invented …”句型来描述各种发明。在以前学习过去时态的基础上，进一步学习部分动词的过去式及其在文中的运用。这些动词是：Invent—invented, print—printed.
学情分析：
学生之前已经学习过was、 were 等过去式。对一般过去时态有所了解。本节课要掌握一些规则动词过去时的表示方法与用途。结合四大发明教学，学生应该容易理解。

教学目标：
　 1、 知识目标

Chinese people didn’t invent ….

本活动属于机械性操练，可以有效集中学生的注意力，让学生先熟悉主句型。

这两个活动属于意义性操练。第一个活动通过创设情境让学生在做中学，学中用，第二个听力活动，让学生学用结合，从而突破本课的重难点。

了解世界上各项重大发明并会用…invented…进行介绍，培养学生的爱国主义精神和民族自豪感。

教学反思：
在本课教学中我根据学生的学习情况和学习中会遇到的问题，创设语言情境，与学生一起在应用中学习语言，在学习中运用语言。我认为在英语学习的过程中要加强对学生听力能力的培养，同时要增进学生的语感能力。所以在教学时我以听着手，培养学生的语感能力，打破中国人哑巴式的英语，同时适应新课改的发展方向，对学生能力进行培养。为此采用了下面的做法：
　　1） 用歌谣的方式导入，激发学生的学习兴趣
　　2） 采用图片，录音和多媒体全方位提高学生的英语能力
　　3）采用任务型教学方法，提高学生实际解决问题的能力。
　　4） 联系实际生活，使英语教学贴近生活，更富有真实生动的生活气息。
　　5） 让学生自己总结本课所学知识，既巩固了知识又复习了本课的重点
　　学生是活动的主体，课堂上大部分的时间交给学生，教师的引导是关键。如何一层层的导入，由易至难的阶梯状任务何时引入，如何引入都是关键所在。同时要注意的是，学生活动之前的范例一定要明确清晰，要每个孩子都知道做什么和怎么做，活动才会顺利的开展，学生才能在活动中有所得。
