本课是外研版新标准小学英语（供三年级起始用）四年级上册Module 1 Unit 2 It’s at the station.的教学内容。用1课时来完成。通过上一课的学习，同学们已经知道了如何用英语问路，指路，本单元的教学内容是在此基础上，继续学习如何用英语问路，指路，并能使用介词描述简单的位置关系。本单元的目的在于帮助Tom发展认知能力及语言运用能力。

学情分析
四年级的学生活泼好动、求知欲强，对直观、形象的事物比较有兴趣，喜欢模仿和游戏。对英语的学习积累了一些能力和方法，在三年级已经掌握了少量的介词，如：on，in，under等。并且在第一单元中接触了简单的问路和指路的语句。这些都为本课的学习做了良好的铺垫。针对小学四年级学生的身心特点，结合学生原有的认知水平，采用创设情境、
直观演示、游戏、单词卡片和多媒体等相结合的方法。让学生多听、多读、多说，培养学生自主合作参与、探究学习的良好习惯，使学生建立自信。培养学生运用英语的实践能力，享受到学习的快乐，成为学习的主人。
