教材分析
本课教材为外研社《英语》(新标准)(三年级起点)六年级上册Module 5 Unit 2 I can speak French.本模块的话题是表达能力、请求、意愿和喜好。本单元的课文情境是四个学生为征集笔友进行的自我介绍。这四个学生分别是来自澳大利亚悉尼的11岁的Mike,来自中国香港的13岁的Tingting,来自英国伦敦的12岁的Jim和来自美国旧金山的12岁的Linda。在自我介绍中,四个人分别介绍了自己的能力和喜好。本单元的学习为学生今后有效进行英语课堂学习做了充分的准备。本单元共1课时完成。

学情分析
本模块的学习重点是复习和巩固“can”和“like”的用法,学习介绍自己的能力和爱好,本单元的任务是给笔友写一封信介绍自己。这一任务需要学生充分认识自己,了解自己的长处和爱好。教师可以利用这一活动充分发掘学生的才能,帮助缺乏自信的学生树立起自信心。
