选择疑问句
在问句中提供两个或两个以上可选答案的问句叫做选择疑问句。选择疑问句的两种或两种以上的情况用or连接，回答时不能用yes或no。在口语中，选择疑问句的语调应是第一个选择项读升调，第二个选择项读降调。选择疑问句可以分为一般选择疑问句和特殊选择疑问句两种。
一般选择疑问句
句型：一般疑问句+or +被选择的情况？
--- Are you a teacher or a student？
你是个老师还是个学生？
--- I'm a student.
我是个学生。
--- Did you work out the math problem in this way or (in) that way？
你用这种方法还是用那种方法把这道数学题算出来的？
--- I did it in that way.
我用那种方法算出来的。
注意
or之后如果是单数可数名词，必须要加上冠词。
选择疑问句中or所连接的可以是不同的内容，如两个名词，两个动词，两个介词短语等。但or所连接的内容一定是并列的，如果or的前面是名词，其后也应该是名词，如果是动词，其后也必须是动词，不能前面是名词，后面却接一个动词。

Language points
1. She’s of medium height…
她中等身高……
height n. 高度；海拔；身高；
例如：
His height makes him stand out in the crowd.
他身材高大，因此在人群中很突出。
height / high 的区别
height 指任何物体可测量到的高度，不管物体本身的高低如何。例如：
Can you guess the height of the building?
你能猜出这座楼的高度吗？
high作形容词主要指本身高或位置高。形容mountain，hill之类的直径或宽度很大的事物时，只能用high。表示向上方伸展的空间或与地面有一定距离的高度时，只能用high。例如：
Huashan is a very high mountain.
华山是座非常高的山。
2. We’re meeting at seven, right?
我们七点见，对吗？
1) meet 相当于汉语中的“集合；见面；碰头；聚集”。例如：
Let’s meet at the school gate tomorrow at eight.
让我们明天八点在校门口集合。
2) right 表示“对吗；是吧”，用来对此前陈述内容进行确认或核实。全句为Is that right? 口语中常用不完整的句子表达意见或想法。
3. …, but I may be a little late.
但我可能会迟点到。
a little这里作副词，意思是“略微; 有点儿”，修饰后面的形容词。例如：
I’m a little tired.
我有点累了。
The price is a little too high.
价格太高了点。
a little 表示肯定，意思是“一点”，修饰不可数名词。例如：
There is a little water in the glass.
杯里有点水。
注意a little和little 的区别:
little表示否定，意思是基本没有，修饰不可数名词，表示“量”。例如：
There is little water in the glass.
杯里几乎没有水了
