Unit 6 Do you like bananas?
Period one: Section A (1a, 1b, 1c,2a ,2b, 2c, 2d)

Context analyze: 内容分析
This is the first period of this unit. This period is aim to train the students’ skill of speaking, listening, reading and writing. In this period, students are required to read the passage, learn the new words and expressions. Role –play a conversation, students will be better able to talk about likes and dislikes.
Teaching objectives: 教学目标
1. Knowledge goals 目标语言、
1). Key words & key phrases 重点单词和词组banana ,pear, strawberry, apple, oranges, tomato, ice cream ,salad banana, strawberries. hamburger, salad, milk bread
2). Key sentences 重点句子
---- Do you like…?

2. Ability goals 能力目标
Train the students’ skill of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Help the students to know how to keep themselves healthy.

Step 1 Lead in and learn the new words
(Show some pictures with the food, ask students the names of the food, and then try to classify them into two kinds: fruit vegetables. After that, ask the students read after the teacher to practice the pronunciations of the new words)

Step 2 Pair- work
T: we have learnt so much delicious food. Now, let’s look at some pictures and see who can say the names of these foods in the picture. Ok, what’s this in English?



Ss: It’s hamburgers
T: Very good. Do you like hamburgers?
Ss: Yes, I do.
T : What’s this in English?
Ss: Tomatoes, orange ice cream salad bananas strawberries pears
T: Do you like strawberries?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
T: Do you like ice cream?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
T: Do you like bananas?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
T: D o you like salad ?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
Step 3 Listening
1b.
Listen and number the conversations.
A: Do you like salad?
B: No, I don’t.

A: Do you like bananas?
B: Yes, I do.

A: Do you like oranges?
B: Yes, I do.
Answers: 2, 1, 3

2a. Listen and circle the food you hear.

Answers: hamburgers, tomatoes, ice-cream

2b Listen again and fill in the blanks.

Answers: tomatoes; tomatoes , ice-cream, ice-cream
2c. Practice the conversation above. Give answers that are true for you.
Step 4. Fill in the blanks
Write a letter to your friends to describe your family members’ likes and dislikes

Step 5. 2d. role –play the conversation
I. Read the conversation (读对话)and answer the questions:
1. Whose birthday dinner is next week?
2. Does John like salad?

II. Pay attention to the new words and learn them :

III. practice: works in group of three according to the the clue below:

Jack: Oh, I don’t like salad.
Bill: But John ______ salad, and it’s his birthday.

Step 6: Interview:
Interview(采访) your your classmates about the food. What does he/she like? Then report:

Step7: Homework
Make an interview to your family about the food and fruit. Find out about what they like and don’t like. Then write a letter to your friend.
