Knowledge aims: 1.To listen, speak, read and write Let’s read, and complete the exercise. 2. To understand and sing a new chant.
3. To read the pronunciations in 3 units, and match the exercises.
Emotion aims: To foster Ss to form a good timetable..
Culture aims: To know the seasons in different countries and some famous person in western countries.

This unit is a revision for 3 units. The main aim is help Ss consolidate the knowledge. It emphasizes the integrated use of language and foster Ss abilities to use English to do some things. So when doing the exercises , let Ss review the relevant knowledge for consolidation. And extend what they learn.

First, have a chant for revision. Then let Ss read the dialogue with questions. Let Ss choose tick or cross and say out reasons. Let Ss find out public places. Finally, let Ss sing the song .

Step 2.Presentation and practice
T shows the poster of Ask and answer and say:This is Zhang Peng’s timetable in a sports camp and this is Amy’s timetable in a computer camp. What do they do?
Ss read the phrases.
let the Ss read: “have computer lesson,play ping-pong,” T guide the Ss to understand have computer lesson & play ping-pong。  Learn the words “recess”.
Get a general understanding of Zhang Peng and Amy’s life
Act in roles. Ss practice in pairs.
Talk about Zhang Peng and Amy’s timetable.

Step 3 Consolidations and Extension.
Listen and write.
1.Ss listen and finish the exercise first and then listen and imitate.
 I usually get up at three thirty in the morning. I go to work at four (go to school at … ). I finish my work at about six in the morning ( go home at …). I eat breakfast at seven. Then I clean my room. I stay at home in the day. I eat dinner at about seven in the evening. I go to bed at eight. What do I do? I am a street cleaner.
2. Group work.
Introduce your daily life according to the above.
Finish the correlated works in exercise book.
Step 5.Homework
1. listen to the tape.

Greet to T.
Students answer T’s questions.

Chant with rhythm.

Ss read the dialogue, and give their answers.
read the dialogue in groups, then read in pairs.

3. Use the picture card to review the words of phrases about seasons.
Step 2.Presentation
1. Free talk.
 T:What season is it?
S:It’s spring.
T:What’s the weather like in spring?
S:It’s windy, but warm.  
T:What do you wear?
  S:Sweater / Dress / jacket……
T:What can you do in spring?
Ss: We can…
2. T: Hello, boys and girls. What’s your favorite season? Why?
T surveys some Ss and then ask them to do pair work to finish P 40.
Make a report.
3. Reading.
T shows the pictures of different seasons in Canada and say:Look, these pictures are about Canada. Seasons in our country are different from those in Canada. What are they like in Canada?
Ss read and get a general idea.
T shows the sentences:
  And it is hard to plant flowers in the rain.
  It is so nice to watch the flowers grow.
  I also love to watch the leaves fall. Is that why we can call autumn “fall”.
  They are all beautiful and I can find many things to do.
Encourage the Ss to perceive and imitate.
Questions to check their understanding.
Mike loves summer. He can swim in the sea.   (Yes)
In Canada, It often snows in spring. No

5. Answer the questions .

Step 3 Practice
  T ask some Ss describe the 4 seasons according to the pictures and the reading material, make a preparation for the reading.
 To talk about 2 seasons in the class and then let them to write a passage about seasons after class.
Step 4 Consolidation and Extension
Finish the correlated exercise after class.

1. Play the tape, let Ss follow it.
2. Ask and answer
T: When is the rabbit’s birthday? It’s in May. T and one Ss give an example and then do Pair works. Consolidate the main sentence pattern about birthday.
Let’s find out.
T introduces the 6 person first and then asks: When is… birthday?
Find out the birthday of famous person, learn the story of them and review the words of months.
Classify the 12 months into 4seasons.

T:Einstein’s birthday is in March. March is in spring. So Einstein’s birthday is in spring. Ask and answer. T:Which season is January in?
Know some festival of western countries.
Halloween is in October, it is in fall.
Classify the other festivals.
Step 4 Consolidation and Extension
1. Listen and number..
And then listen and inmate.
2. Finish the correlated exercise in EB.
Step 5: Homework
